Pacific’s greatest secret

Pacific’s greatest secret

“Pacific’s greatest secret” this could be one of the many slogans that we could assign to the Solomon Islands, that have a huge tourist potential barely known by the rest of the world.

SONY DSC   It’s a destination where there isn’t much, but why there is everything. Everything that hasn’t been modified by man or by  modernization; a real paradise for tourists. Where we can become lost in landscapes and stories, where a pristine identity and a unique connection with the people offer us a glimpse over such an intense way of life.

Experience this mysterious culture makes us feel like children discovering the world for the first time.

Where the beaches and crystal clear waters may be the brand image, but there is much more to experience.

Because what is beyond these beaches is not seen by locals as a possible tourist attraction, because there is still much work ahead to try to preserve and improve these attractions. They exist, and they are amazing, but they aren’t marked or documented at all!

From hiking, to bird watching, trough culture demonstrations, all surrounded by luxuriant landscapes.

The tourism industry can change a destination into something artificial, and only the local people can prevent this from happen here. Giving value to what they have, their culture and their past it’s the only way to preserve the identity of such a magical place. Because a destination only will highlight if different.

And the Solomons are just that… A unique place, lost in time and forgotten by many!

Some islands able to make us be reborn and live more intensely, cleaning our souls, bringing us a firm desire to continue discovering, because there is so much that we haven’t seen.

An unfinished book awaiting chapter, that will be written by it’s people and  make these islands the greatest known secret in the Pacific!
